In 1999, Doug Coley was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and had a 40% chance of survival. After about five months of treatment, Doug participated in a clinical trial that led him into full remission. Today, we can confidently say that if it was not for the leukemia research taking place at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, then Doug would not have beat the odds.

golfDuring his treatment, Doug's family and friends at Guilford College United Methodist became determined to change the outcome for others diagnosed with Leukemia. Together, with the help of the Greensboro Community, we have done just that. Throughout the past 14 years, the Doug Coley Golf and Tennis Tournament for Leukemia Research has raised more than $340,000 for Leukemia Research at Wake Forest Baptist. With your support, we can continue the journey of research.

We invite you to join our efforts and get involved with this year's golf and tennis events. Check out the Golf and Tennis pages to learn more about participating as a player. You can also give a financial donation, a donation of merchandise, and or services. If you have an item that you would like to donate for use in the 2014 Silent Auction, or know someone who may, please call Dave Saunders at 336.644.1678.

All monies raised are donated to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Leukemia Research Fund in Winston-Salem, NC. Checks can be written to Doug Coley Foundation for Leukemia Research a 501 (3) C non-profit corporation. Tax ID # is 04-3675438.

Together, we can beat the odds. Thank you for helping to continue the journey of research.
